Experience:

After completing his degree Darren undertook a PhD focusing on reaction calorimetry to enable reaction kinetics to be used for process scale up. He then spent 15 years working in the chemical industry, initially in Plastics Additives manufacture with Rohm and Haas (latterly The Dow Chemical Company) in Grangemouth, and more recently pharmaceuticals with Macfarlan Smith in Edinburgh. He has extensive experience in in-house Health and Safety investigation and process engineering support.

He joined Burgoynes in 2015 and specialises in the investigation of fires and explosions.
